Support policies for employees and employers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

The Government has issued Resolution 116/NQ-CP on support policies, funded by the Unemployment Insurance Fund, for employees and employers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Employees participating in unemployment insurance (UI) as of 30 September 2021 (excluding employees working at state agencies, political organisations, socio-political organisations, people's armed forces units and public service units whose recurrent expenditure is covered by the State budget).

- Employees who stopped participating in UI due to the termination of their labour or working contract between 1 January 2020 and 30 September 2021 and whose UI contribution period has been reserved (excluding persons receiving a monthly pension).

2. The support amount is based on the UI contribution period for which unemployment benefits have not yet been received:
- Less than 12 months of contributions: VND 1,800,000 per person.
- From 12 months to less than 60 months: VND 2,100,000 per person.
- From 60 months to less than 84 months: VND 2,400,000 per person.
- From 84 months to less than 108 months: VND 2,650,000 per person.
- From 108 months to less than 132 months: VND 2,900,000 per person.
- 132 months or more: VND 3,300,000 per person.
